From a tiny kitchen in a 600sqft New York City apartment, to a sprawling building with two locations, Black Bear Bakery’s humble origins lead to something much greater.

Eloise, our head pastry chef, named Black Bear Bakery after her black lab, Bear. Inspired by Bear’s love of homebaked goods, Eloise decided to expand on her knowledge of pastries by starting a business and offering all kinds of baked goods—this time for human customers.
